Wonderful Women Wednesday
Taking a mid-week moment to celebrate and thank those standing up and kicking ass
This week is ⚡️WHERE ARE THE BOSS LADIES ⚡️Redefining leadership with new role models.
'Where are our role models?'
This week is shouting out to two wonderful women Mara Lecocq and Christina Jones who are creating a list of currently already over 1,000 boss women for people to find their role models in the workplace.
'Where Are The Boss Ladies started as a list of 10 female executive leaders I knew of. After 14 years in advertising, I never had a female boss. I was thirsty for a role model who was ambitious and had kids (“You can’t be what you can’t see”), and maybe…was nice? Happy? Caring? I’ll take anything with an emotion. So I started a spreadsheet of 10 people I knew of. Four months later, thanks to all of you, the list has 1,000 women who made it to the top.
This is a labor of love between 2 internet strangers who met on Fish Bowl. Christina Jones is the database mastermind who took the Google sheet to the next level. Now, ladies are finding female-friendly workplaces, and badass companies are poaching unsung heroes.'
'15% of Executive Creative Directors at the most progressive agencies* are women. 29% of Creative Directors. 45% of Associate Creative Directors. That's 15% less representation for every promotion. The growing list is right here @wherearethebossladies Go check it out 👉🏻👉🏽👉🏿
Ps. 🔥 illustrations by last weeks shout out Malika Favre.
